Conferences can often feel like a marathon of back-to-back sessions. When our client came to us, she was looking for new and unique conference activations to engage attendees for her upcoming CPHR Conference and Expo event. Photo booths and on-site chair massages were activations she had done in the past so how could she make things a bit different this time?Together, we collaborated on brainstorming ideas, selecting practical swag items, and testing samples to determine how to best incorporate an on-site engraving experience for conference attendees. After a few months, we finalized the ideal gifts: personalized metal bookmarks and notebooks that attendees could use right away at the conference!
The 2 day CPHR Conference and Expo event was hosted at Vancouver Convention Centre in downtown Vancouver, BC which has an incredible view of the water and mountains. I brought a second artist with me to cater to a higher volume of people. As we passed out request forms for people to write down what they wanted etched onto their gifts, we also helped them brainstorm some ideas. From their words of the year to inside jokes to names, the possibilities were endless. We engraved and heat foiled nonstop from morning to afternoon for 2 days straight. It was safe to say that the activation was a hit!
This interactive experience served as a refreshing break from the conference grind, allowing attendees to recharge and refocus. Having the choice to request for what they wanted personalized right before their eyes created a sense of excitement and wonder.
Our client was so happy with the feedback and results that she prebooked us for the following year. Last we heard, attendees are still raving about the unique and memorable experience. What a powerful way to leave a lasting impression on guests.
We can't wait to bring back our engraving experience to the CPHR Conference and Expo in 2025!
